WHo We Are

The Inland Northwest Childcare Nutrition Program (INCNP) is a non-profit agency serving Central and Eastern Washington State.

We are a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program that is supervised by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), funded through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and sponsored by Frontier Behavioral Health (FBH). The CACFP is a federally funded program that provides monetary reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children who are enrolled for care at participating licensed childcare homes.

Our team of trained nutrition program specialists meet with in-home childcare providers to give them the tools they need to provide the best nutrition to the children in their care. Using USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines, we provide training and support to ensure meals provided to children enrolled in the program meet the best nutritional practices offered in the USA which are based on up-to-date nutrition requirements and recommendations.

What We Do

We provide extra income to licensed in-home daycare providers who participate in our program. The CACFP contributes to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children in the United States.

If you are caring for and serving meals to children, then you may be eligible to participate in our program to receive monetary reimbursements. Our program specialists visit each of the licensed in-home daycares enrolled in the program a few times per year to monitor and ensure children are consuming nutritious foods, a list of which is provided to us by USDA.

Family Day Care Homes (FDCH) is an organized nonresidential childcare program for children who are typically 12 years of age or younger, operated in a private home, and licensed or approved to provide care. In order to participate in CACFP, FDCHs must enter into an agreement with a sponsoring agency. We do not work with childcare centers or schools.
